Christmas Party in Tyler & Dallas Texas
There’s nothing quite like a great Christmas party. They can be a lot of fun, and really help set the mood for a great Christmas. If you’re in charge of the festivities, you can have a ball, and really create a great party. It’s interesting to note that social occasions like parties rank high on any employee survey as one of the positive elements in the workplace.
Christmas party basics
The big issues with Christmas parties are all functional:
• Where: Choice of venue is important. If it’s in the office itself, you can plan very efficiently and make sure the area’s booked, etc. If the party is held at a local club or other venue, you’ll need to check costs, arrange funding, and do the basic management organization.
• When: Time and date need to be planned so that it’s convenient for everybody. Many people have other commitments at this time of year, so it’s a good idea to have attendance well scouted in advance.
• What you want for the party: You may want to have special gifts, or to arrange a nice party environment with entertainers, or other diversions. These things have to be done carefully, so you need to make your decisions and arrange accordingly.
Getting organized
Anyone who is every organized a party can tell you that the trick is to be set up and ready to go on time, with everything confirmed.
For office parties, that includes:
• Funding and costs: Many Christmas parties, particularly departmental parties, are paid up by attendees. Some are covered by the office itself. Whatever means you’re using to pay for the party, make sure the money is all there and paid up before the due date for payment for services. (If it’s office money, make sure you’ve got the official delegation to pay for it, or know who has.)
• Bookings: If you’ve booked anything or anyone at all, including venues, caterers, entertainment, or any other third parties, you must confirm a week or so in advance, so if anyone cancels you’ve got some room to maneuver, preferably before you send out the invitations.
• Invitations: RSVPs are very useful for office parties, particularly if you’re in a big office. You need to know numbers, including guests, and guests need time to confirm.
Party gifts
A good party becomes a great party through some creative planning. Gifts are always reliable party fun. If you’re prepared to do some research online, you can find corporate gifts which are good quality and value, and often surprisingly cheap. You can actually get great presents, like cameras and electronics, at very good prices. You can also add the corporate logo, (if you’re allowed), as an added touch. Other gifts, like tickets to shows, gift certificates to top stores, and similar “negotiable” gifts are also good value.
Entertainment
Entertainment must be appropriate, particularly if the employer’s paying for it, and/or staff family members are attending. Stick to something which you know will be fun, but keep it mainstream. (Shameless Plug time) Mister Jazzz has worked for several Fortune 500 companies. Guess what? They hire and recommend him to their friends and coworkers! You will be amazed at his abilities! Just remember, book Mister Jazzz early for your Christmas Parties.
Above all- Remember to make sure to fit in as many fun things as possible. Novelty drinks, foods, or games are always good. Have fun!
